If you don't have an interface board then you could use a parallel card. Otherwise it would not be very difficult to make using a breadboard. It's just two chips (single direction buffer chip for the control lines and bi-directional buffer chip for the bus). I would love to get more info on the electronic compass (chip used, measurements of the acrylic circle). Would you be able to email me (lukazi@hotmail.com)?

Thanks,
Alex.Lukazihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12825056510419425486noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3073304125196193272.post-90247796420544517102019-01-26T19:00:17.441-08:002019-01-26T19:00:17.441-08:00Also, mine has the 'compass' if you need a...Also, mine has the 'compass' if you need any specific details. We had similar LOGO robots in after school programs in Canada, and it was great to see one back on the road.

If that bumper breaks, consider EVA foam. It's light and sturdy, and easy to work with. MDF is actually very heavy for its volume. They use if for subwoofers for that reason. You might also consider acrylic- very stiff and light.
